Israel breaks ceasefire- resumes attacks on Gaza until all hostages are returned.

Writer: Jason DavisJason Davis

Recently, the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has broken down due to a failure to reach an agreement on the return of the hostages. Both Israel and Hamas blamed each other for the agreement's failure. Israel was the one to officially break the ceasefire with a round of airstrikes into Gaza, which was reported to have killed hundreds of civilians. For people in Gaza, the ceasefire was a temporary relief, but with Israel continuing the bombings, the death rate will skyrocket. Israel has declared that it will occupy parts of Gaza until the remaining hostages are brought back safe and sound. This has brought a wave of criticism from the outside world, with Egypt being one of the most vocal. This could be due to it fearing a massive number of Palestinian refugees arriving and overwhelming it with every Israeli attack on Gaza. Nonetheless, without a proper set up if the war ends, the cycle of conflict between the two will never end.
