Irregularities in Chinese Belt & Road Initiative Creates Disaster

The Chinese Belt & Road Initiative, after years of rapid expansion throughout most of Eurasia and Africa, finally came to a halt after irregularities were found with the plan.

In Germany, the authorities blocks millions of Euros in infrastructure development after finding lies regarding the plan's sustainability and environmental impact.

The plan gave incentives to large European countries to invest in sustainable resources and techniques, especially in the production and refinement of oil, coal, and natural gas. This would take the form of credits, which would highlight the company's initiative to help the environment, and this show to consumers the company's good reputation.

However, the credits system was heavily abused, and in recent years, many companies exaggerated their eco claims to obtain credits which they did not deserve in a moral sense. The German Federal Environmental Agency uncovered these strong irregularities, and subsequently denied the continued flow of investment into Germany.

“No new UER certificates from these projects will be released onto the market,” said Dirk Messner, the GFEA president. “The Federal Environment Agency will continue its investigative work at full speed on the basis of the findings now available from China.”

An additional investigation was announced at finding more evidence of the misleading credits system, said the agency.
