Costco Moves to Strengthen Security

The wholesale behemoth Costco has recently announced its new priorities in company security and membership.

Costco warehouses are now requiring all customers to scan their membership ID in order to enter the store, cracking down on years of exploits by many individuals to get in the store without paying for a membership.

Many individuals have previously entered stores using different membership cards from either their friends or family, sparking a years-long debate over how to deal with this rampant crisis.

Costco, after experienced lower revenues due to higher costs, has enforced membership to its members not only to destroy the exploit, but to increase profits. With new ID scanners, customers who didn't have a membership card for themselves previously are now virtually forced to purchasing their own memberships, giving Costco more revenues.

This breaking headline has also came after Costco announced higher membership fees starting on September 1st to counter lower company profits.
