Azerbaijan and Armenia finally agree for a peace treaty

After more than forty years, Armenia and Azerbaijan's conflict may be coming to an end. Officials from both nations have declared that a treaty has already been agreed to. This has not come without controversy, however, as there still exist issues that have not been fully addressed, such as the ethnic Armenian exodus from the Artsakh region. Azerbaijan has claimed that the ethnic Armenians will be allowed to return, but for many, those words ring hollow. Moreover, on the Armenian side, there have been thoughts that a peace treaty would be equivalent to surrendering to Azerbaijan. Depending on how Azerbaijan and Armenia act once the treaty is signed, it either lead to lasting peace or a return to conflict.
