As Cuba Faces Economic Peril, It Blames Companies

The small island nation of Cuba has recently taken a stronger stance against the private sector as the economic situation there intensifies.

As the people of Cuba face rising unemployment and higher inflation, the country has put the blame on the large companies rather than themselves.

This has come after Cuba finally legalized private ownership of property three years ago, a biproduct of the failures of the Castro administration.

These measures include tighter regulations, seizing of private property (nationalization), and government ownership of property.
